Revolut and Digital Bank Refunds
Fraud losses through Revolut and other app based banks, where refunds are often wrongly refused.
Revolut and Digital Bank Refunds
Revolut and other digital only banks have become frequent targets for fraud, partly because their onboarding and customer service are handled almost entirely through an app rather than a branch or phone line. Victims typically send money after being deceived by an impersonation, investment, or purchase scam, only to find that the receiving account was controlled by a criminal from the outset. In other cases, a genuine account holder finds their balance frozen after unknown funds linked to someone else's fraud are paid in.
Common tactics include fraudsters posing as the bank's own fraud team within the app's chat function, sending convincing but fake transaction alerts, or directing a victim toward a fraudulent investment platform with a professional looking interface. Warning signs include being contacted out of the blue about a supposed security issue, pressure to complete a transfer before verifying it independently, an account that is suddenly frozen without clear explanation, and customer support that is slow, automated, or difficult to escalate beyond a chat window.
Investigation, tracing, and full legal representation
When a digital bank has wrongly refused to reimburse a client, or has frozen an account without adequate justification, our investigators examine the full transaction history, in app communications, and the bank's own decision making to establish where it fell short of its obligations. We build the evidentiary record needed to challenge that decision formally.
Where the fraud involved international transfers or organised criminal networks operating across borders, we coordinate with Interpol and relevant law enforcement bodies to support tracing and recovery efforts. Our lawyers then file the claim, pursue the bank or the fraudsters directly where appropriate, and represent you at every stage through to resolution, including unfreezing legitimate funds wrongly held on suspicion of fraud.
